ISLAND
Ironically named Island lake despite a complete lack of an island at first glance, Island accommodates a maximum of twenty three (23) anglers. The lake is the deepest water on the complex at around fifteen (15) feet at its deepest in the middle and is a little of an unknown. Given how deep it is and due to the fact it cannot / has not been netted due to the presence of sunken islands, it is difficult to say for sure exactly what resides.
Again, the lake is well stocked with a variety of species including carp up to 27lb with a good head of double figure fish also, including koi carp. There is a large head of F1s present averaging 3lb-5lb as well as plenty of roach, rudd and skimmer bream with silverfish-only catches up to 66lb. Match weights regularly exceed 100lb.
Tried and tested methods include fishing shallow, short to depth and down the margins. Best baits include pellet, meat, corn and casters.
